I don't care for this one bit and this is probably the nail in the coffin for CvS3 and a new Darkstalkers for at least until 2014 or thereabouts.
The Namco half is probably going to go the way of SvC:Chaos, IE nowhere fast. Fireballs simply don't work in 3d, they're either too easily sidestepped and thus useless or become completely broken. Thus it becomes Tekken light. They should be putting their time into downsizing the roster and redoing movesets for T7 not put energy into a cash-in (because that's what it is and you know it).
I hope for something decent to come out of this but my view is bleak indeed.
And what's SEGA doing during this fighting game revival we're having? Telling us they're "unsure about the home market" whan asked about a VF5:R/FS console release.
I'm going to be depressed for a while.
