Ok i'm curios just how unimagintive game designers are, so i want you to name a game that stars or is largely about space marines. Lets see just how long this list gets.
I'm pretty sure I've seen Master Chief in space a few times. However, most WH 40k marines don't have a helmet so I dunno how that vacuum is going to work out for themNouw said:Space Marines are Marines (ground and water) that can survive in Space. Can Spartans do that? Also, Warhammer 40K isn't a game.
Anyway, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine.
I'm not sure on that one, but they should be able to. After all, they are Super Humans so I think I should ask an uber-geekFusionxl said:I'm pretty sure I've seen Master Chief in space a few times. Heck I just started some! The Thief said:System Shock 2.
This is kind of a low content thread. You might want to add something to discuss.

seeing as one chapters regular pre exercise warm up is to swim around in a lake of either chlorine or sulpher (I forget which, but hell impressive either way) for a while I don't think Hard Vacuum is really going to bother them all that much.Fusionxl said:I'm pretty sure I've seen Master Chief in space a few times. So I guess the word Marine has no relation to the actual Military Term "Marine"The Thief said:So you have...Nouw said:I'm not sure on that one, but they should be able to. From what little information I've gleaned from WH40K, all realism has been taken out behind the space-shed and disintegrated, so I'm sure the total lack of oxygen, deadly radiation, and blood boiling vacuum of outer-space can be shrugged off effortlessly.
I also would have to respectfully disagree with your definition. I consider any game where you are some kind of soldier in a science fiction setting outside of earth to be a space marine game.
Also, I'll add StarCraft to the list.
Thank You for pointing out one of the first examples of Space MarineDarkDain said:Starship Troopers.
