Basically as the title. Every so often if I'm tired, thirsty, playing 'Osmos' or sick, I hallucinate. What happens is that everything around me becomes very very VERY large, and I become very very VERY large and small at the exact same time. It's very unnerving and it freaks me out. I call it 'scale-tripping' but I'm sure that there's a more scientific term for it out there.

Does anybody know what this is?

Or you just need some sleep.
No chemicals involved. I probably do need some sleep every so often, but I'm more interested in what it's called. I'll sleep when I'm dead, or fall into a coma due to lack of sleep.

No... But if it helps, I know the 'large and small at the same time' feeling. Mostly when I'm tired or just not paying attention to the world around me.

Not to worry you unduly, but that wikipedia page mentioned all manner of ugly that could be connected with this syndrome - it might be worth a trip to the Doctor, just to be on the safe side :)

I want a go!

How would one induce such an hallucination?
1. Be tired.
2. Be dehydrated.
3. Put on loud and good headphones.
4. Play 'Revolution 9' by the Beatles on them, making sure to mentaly follow the sound.
5. Play the game 'Osmos' for good measure.

Those are the things that set it off for me.

My vote is brain tumor as a form of peduncular hallucinosis. That ir possibly a deep viral infection might be causing it. Im guessing you would need a more elaborate work up of signs and symptoms in order to figure out what it might be.

I prefer the diagnosis that doesn't mean that I'm sick, but you sound far more legit. I'm torn.
