Name that movie

Now i dont know about anybody else, but my wife is always throwing out great spanners of obscure questions. Usually topiced around actors and movies. Stuff like " you know that guy that was in that movie, the one with all the stuff in it."

So i thought it might be interesting to see if the escapist could help me with my own question like that:

Im thinking of a horror movie were the characters father is part of a group of fathers that build this house for some reason to sacrifice their sons for some reason, except the guy gets away. At the end his blood is spilled coz his wife has to slit his wind pipe to save his life.
Can anyone tell me its name ?

Feel free to add any of your own as im sure im not the only one stuck with obscure movie references, or movies they would like to see again but cant recall its name.

That sounds familiar... But... can't... think... what it is...
I don't know if it was the same movie, but something comes to mind about some dark presence in the house or something, like they had to avoid the darkness because that was what they were being sacrificed to.
