Name the Nintendo Gameboy

I have in my possesion an old Nintendo Gameboy (1989) that doesn't look like the "normal" ones. And after looking around for an explanation to why it looks like this and not finding anything I decided to ask you, fellow escapists.

So, does anybody know why it has this frame? Anybody got the same one? Or another strange looking gameboy?

Well we can't see pictures on your harddrive unless you upload them to the internets.
But you could probably find a picture of it on google and just show us that.

right click on the image and its a link (kinda) to deviantart.
it appears to be a special edition of the gameboy or perhaps a sticker.

I assume this is what you were trying to post. There were various special editions of the various gameboys that had designs around the screen like that, though I've never seen that particular design. Could be something unusual, or maybe someone has just gotten creative and put a nice border around the screen. Or maybe it's something obvious that I'm just not familiar with...

OT: Looks like a "special edition" gameboy, but I can't for the life of me remember what that game was.
