This. I hated most of Honest Hearts in Fallout: New Vegas (I don't know why but I feelt completely disconnected from the sotryline of "We must save these tribals.")

But I loved the notes and messages that you could find about a survivor of the apocalypse. It almost made me like the entire DLC, almost.

Hair color ,yup hair color , when my characters have different hair colors i find it awsome . I like having a team here the hair color of my guys make out to be a rainbow .

I love the ability to readjust skill points or basically reset your character. The ability to switch skills in and out and create tons of different builds and classes to play around with is awesome.

Anytime I can't do that it makes me quite sad.

Character dialogue. Sometimes I will replay just to see the other dialogue from characters I didn't use the first time if it's good enough.

'Hopeless' boss battles where you will much later come back and defeat the guy who squashed you like a bug the first time. A real sense of progression, though hopefully he's not easy.
