"Distrust any enterprise that requires new clothes."
"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion."
- Henry David Thoreau

"men are no more born equal than a possum is born equal to a tyrannosaurus; but which one is still alive today?
"the truly wholesome man is the one who is open with his sins; fear the man who believes his must be kept a secret. "
- me

"Dont leave food in the fridge"
- Spike Spiegel

yes i know 'possum' isnt an entirely accurate term for the small, possum-like mammals that survived the cretaceous extinction, but something like "Pucadelphys andinus" doesnt really lend itself well to quotes.

Nothing is certain so you must take the assumption that everything is certain. In my pants.

The objective view always wins over the subjective view. Unfortunately, all objectivism is centric around subjective ideas. So better get a box of markers 'cause you gotta draw a lot of lines. In my pants.

Doing something is better than doing nothing. In your pants.

"Do unto others before they do unto you"
Which basically translates as
"QUICK! Stab the fucker before he kills you! KILLKILLKILLKI- What? Oh no, officer. I was merely practicing... a play!"

1. People who make bad choices individually are better than people who follow the crowd and unthinkingly make good choices.

2. A person is smart, but people are stupid.

3. It is entirely possible that everything you see, hear and feel is a result of a brain deformation you suffered when you were twelve and you've spent the last however-many years in a coma imagining everything, so remember that everything you believe comes down to unwavering faith in your own mind.

4. Life is too fragile and contradictory to think about, like time paradoxes. So don't bother; just live niavely.

5. Even if there is no proof, if you believe that your answer to a question is right, then that question is no longer a mystery to you. The only real mysteries are the ones we cannot answer at all.

1) All human relations should be based around respect for one's self and for all other parties involved. You may not like each other or even be able to tolerate each other, and you don't have to at all. But you should be able to respect one another and treat each other with common courtesy.
2) As a bit of an extension to that, I agree with Mr. Garrison from South Park's "Death Camp of Tolerance" episode: tolerance means putting up with something, it doesn't mean liking it.
3) A little common sense goes a long way.
4) It is my belief that nowadays, people think the correct amount about any given situation probably about 10% of the time or less. Other times, people don't think things through enough, or probably *gasp* more often *double gasp!* over-think things.
5) Nobody knows the entirety of any given thing unless they experience it firsthand.

I have never gotten why lifestyle-rules and words of wisdom is refered to as "personal philosophy" but WTH.

"Tolerance loses it's meaning if it's expected of you to tolerate intolerant actions."

"The past is merely memories of past moments, the future merely fantasies about moments to come. You only exist in the moment."

"One bad deed does not make one a bad person, just as one good deed does not make one a good person."

"Religion is never evil, but the people that would restrict your freedom and rights with it certainly are."

"Truth serves no one, but it serves everyone to know of truth. A lie serves the liar, but it serves no one to belive a lie."
