Golems can have pretty much any name one might give an homunculous or robotic construction. You can choose to give it a pet's name, a model number (which can also sometimes resemble a cute name, such as an air-powered golem named AERO-0000 (aeronaut)), an esoteric, mystical name, or simply name it "golem".

Is this golem a one of a kind golem? Or are you going to have lots of golems? If your going to have lots, maybe instead of an individual name you should get a theme going on, like all the golems being named after a mountain or something.

It's a fantasy setting.
... okay, but what's the golem like? What's it made out of? How's it made? What's it for? Or haven't you gotten that far yet?

I generally only allow people the knowledge of my golem's names if they work for it.

Then it's often something unfitting like Godfrey or Keith.

depends on his origin. If I was to mass produce golems, I would only give them numbers, or a model type or something simple.
Their owners could certainly name them however they like. maybe a real name, maybe keep a number, maybe just what they do

There is only one possible name for this golem, regardless of materials used to make it or origins.

Stumpy. Stumpy McLunger.
