Naruto (Jutsu?)

Oh.. btw: just for everyone information. I HATE the 4 kids american version. I only watch the japenese verson with subtitles. MUCH BETTER!

4kids did not do naruto, the naruto dub is fine art compared to the things 4kids does.

That said, the dub's not even that bad, it only received minor edits and was released uncut.

Ummm.. "minor edits" being cutting out importaint parts of the story. Plus choosing the WORST voice actors I have ever heard for each of the characters.. (Made my ears bleed.. A LOT!)
No... They didn't do anything wrong..

But as for the 4 kids thing, at least here in Canada, which I would assume that america has the same thing, at the end of the credits, it always showed the 4 kids symbol.. so I am pretty sure they had an evil hand in it.

Actually, alot of Escapists respect the fact that there are anime fans on the site, I guess that comes along with gaming (people who like JRPGs are more likely to enjoy Japanese anime).

Also, Escapists, despite being elitists, are still nice people (mostly).

And, despite the fact that I stopped watching it along time ago, controlling your chi to allow walking on water would be all I would need. Jesus would have nothing on me ;P

I was thinking that, but isnt that combo based, because it's wind and water elemental? or did he mean two seperate Jutsu forming one, like Yamato and Naruto's Kufu Suika no Jutsu (Drowing Maelstrom Technique)?

I would count that as one thing. I meant more different technequies, like shadow clones and then childori being used by all of them... Thats just cheap!

did you watch it on CN. or jetix, because jetix is owned by 4kids, and imposed it's own edits. Also, I'd like to know what the important parts of the story they cut are.

About the VAs, I can think of exactly 2 I find particulerly bad, naruto and choji. The rest, in perspective to most dubs, are decent. Please don't take a fanboy attitude, there's shows that got it much worse off, it's annoying to hear people go off like this is the worse dub ever.

And there's still the fact it was released uncut.

True, there are worse Dubbed animes, but since this thread is about Naruto...

Also, it only takes one poorly chosen voice actor to kill it.
I only caught 2 episodes, both on the old YTV... so I believe it was jetix.. but I could be wrong.

(And ya.. I did watch it in the original Japanese first.. so perhaps I am a bit biased.. but it's all good! XP)

I'm the only one of my friends at school that don't like Naruto. One, I don't want to get back into anime, two, I don't watch much T.V., and three, Naruto is as popular as Halo in my school (well, with my friends, anyways), and I just don't want to get into it. I did watch the first few episodes, though, but I stopped watching after a while, and if I start watching now it would make no sense.

@Dayne, Just watch the first 100 episodes of Naruto, then switch over to the manga. A much better experience; the fillers while not entirely awful (as it did give the supporting cast their own arcs in a way), was not necessary to the flow of the story.

No filler is ever necessary to any anime. It is only there so the manga can get ahead again. Though naruto went way overboard. Was like 150 episodes of filler in a row. Wanted to die or something. Only good filler was rock lee v raiga when rock lee was drunk.

I'm really not a big fan of the anime, takes way to damn long to go anywhere. I enjoy the Manga though, it's pretty dumb but it's a lot of fun. I also hate Sasuke with an undying passion.

Personally, I would do great mischif with Shikimaru's Shadow Thingy.

I think Naruto is extremely bad... Ok, maybe not extremely but you get my point.
The only good thing in Naruto, except for Drunken Gai, is Itachi so I'll have to go with his "Super"-Sharingan.
