I dunno, I think maybe Fable 3 will surprise us. Peter seems like someone who is just too far ahead and tries using what we have know and its just not enough for him. Maybe Natal will be a catalyst for Peter's possible greatness.

Wait!

Are you sure that this is real? After all, a Molyneux 'fact' is not really a normal world fact.

The way I see this whole Natal/Wii sensor bar thing is that they're the first steps on a long road to getting HOLODECKS. Until it gets to that point, it's going to be weird and clunky technology gimmicks as we have today: waving stuff at the television to get a vague feeling of tactile immersion.

After watching the earlier posted YouTube link to some other motion sensing stuff I must say I'm impressed, you can really do some cool things with it... when the player is sitting in front of a desk, and playing an FPS, and really still using a keyboard for most functions.

I guess my Fable III character will spend 90% of his time lying down on a sofa in videogaming position.

Still, who really cares? Fable III sounds awful, and Fable II was awful.
Amen, brother, amen!

I'm skeptical about Natal but I know I'm going to end up buying it. Either it will be the greatest thing since sliced bread or it will suck total balls. My money's on the latter.

Fable III using Natal? I kinda like the idea of swinging my sword around (yes, that is a euphamism) but like I said, I'm not convinced that it's really a good idea. We will have to wait and see... or at least wait for some reviews, I don't think I'll be preordering this one.

There is a huge amount of potential for Natal to be used in an RPG series like Fable
Is there? Call me conservative, but I see no aspect of an action RPG that can be improved by motion sensing.
Guess NATAL and the MMO cash shop go onto my "List of reasons not to get Fable 3"
i stopped writing that list before i was half way through fable 2

If it will be a requirement, then I guess I won't be playing Fable 3. I'm not buying Natal. Or Sony's motion controls either, for that matter. I really don't want motion controls in my games. If console games are going to start requiring this sort of thing, then I will only play games on the PC.

Watch as this succeeds and every new singleplayer has a cashshop that makes you instantly win the game. wait to go. Looks like I'll just stick with old games. Ya know, the time when games were suppose to be fun.

Heh, point taken.
It's a shame really, since there are some corners of the series that really are solid.
Like... uh... the dynamic player model, I guess. And the villager AI, if you don't expect too much.

What is it game designers have against the controller now? I've played a Wii and the only thing I disliked about it was the Wii-mote ( Like many others I know. ), when I play a videogame I don't want to wave my arms around like a lunatic to do it, scrap these motion sensor ideas until we get full VR body suits I say.

Oh goody, DLC with in the actual game to unlock Areas and weapons. Good god, let's hope he doesn't get the brilliant Idea of making the final boss a DLC. ._.

Wow I think Fable III Requiring the Natal will only lower the sales for Natal. Fable I was decent then II sucked ass and three sounds more like a dumbed down version of sim city with random arm flailing and children beating than an rpg

Thanks for nickel and dimeing us. Thank you for holding back parts of the game you have finished so you charge extra for it later. Thanks for charging 1$(The same price as Breath of Death IV)for an item you should be giving away for free. But most of all thank you for really listening to what the fans want.

Natal doesn't seem like it could work in any action game, let alone an RPG. How to you move forward back left and right? How do you turn around? How do you open the goddamn MENU? Then add on the fact that you're playing an RPG, which means that you have to interact with people an objects...I can tell you right now that it's going to feel gimmicky and unintuitive.
I think I've solved the movement conundrum!

New type of controller. Maybe something that slips over the middle fingers of your left hand, like a wide ring, with an analouge stick positioned over your palm at a comfortable angle for your thumb to access. (Wiggles hand around trying to find the angle) Fingers would have to be curled a little, I think. To stop it sliding off. Or maybe a velcro strap..

Anyway, that leaves movement to familiar thumb control and lets us use the rest of our bodies for more important things. Like dancing the jig in Fable 3. XD Or, you know, picking up stuff, throwing stuff, using weapons... the good thing about it is that you could still USE the hand to gesture.

Menu and such.. I like the idea of reaching for a bag - over your shoulder or at your hip. Equiping weapons by moving your hands to them would also be sweet.

I'd also like to see how body language/facial expression/intonation could have effects on people in Fable and Oblivion and the like. Standing with your arms crossed makes some people nervous or annoyed. Using one of three set replies (shown on screen?) but in different tones of voice - aggression, persuasion, pleading? Or even just the ability to GLARE at those irritating stalker fans (or give them the finger). Hell, if you could lunge at them with a shout or growl, someone will have posted me doing it on you Tube within ten minutes.

I can only hope that Natal isn't a requirement, but an option. I like playing games on my arse whilst holding a lump of plastic. It's comfortable.
As for the ingame cashshop thing, i'll probably ignore it unless I feel like I have far too much money (I don't).
