Has a price been released on either? Nintendo's controllers are expensive.

Natal is extremely limited due to no controller. But with a controller added, it could be nice.

PS3 motion could be just as good as Natal if you wore some kind of suit with joint sensors.

Overall, it would be cool to have motion sensor along with buttons. Like a pad you can use to move around and jump, or whatever, and then a piece of motion sensor technology to interpret hand gestures, to, say, sword fights.

Natal, the more I read on it the more i'm impressed. Really a camera that can detect motion in 3 dimensions and 4 people at a time, recognize voices and whatnot. Sign me up.

read on here, that microsoft wants natal to be in the impulse range, as low as 50 american, and i just pre oredered the ps3 controller 59.99, if you own the eye toy already then its only a controller to buy if not, u can get em used for 29.99

Ok thread is actually flawed because they use two different concepts. Natal uses full body motion control set up from a camera that records and recognizes full 3d body motion, while the PS3...thing, is a controller thing that is reminiscent to the wii. I would say Natal if i was forced to choose just because of the unlimited possibilites of games you can make with it (this would be a perfect way to re make rail shooters)
i wasnt being so scientific when thinking of the thread, i was merely posing a question on upcoming technologies for the companies respectively

Although I consider the claims about Natal somewhat dubious, I would have to say it shows more promise.

Why? Because from what I've seen, the PS3 system does not do anything a Wii & motionplus can't already do, if anyone was inclined to try.

I know this, because I do experiments with Wii controllers, and while the standard setup wouldn't quite work, minor modifications (and the addition of a webcam for some parts), would allow me to replicate just about any PS3 wand controller demo I've seen.

And that, unfortunately, isn't all that interesting.

Neither. I don't want to flail my arms around like a spastic, neuro monkey trying to throw a grenade in a shooter or open a door in an RPG. If I'm playing a console game, I want to sit back in my chair and relax with a controller in my hands without having to worry about much movement.

Only thing I can accept is Rock Band and Guitar Hero, but half of the time I sit down for that as well anyway...

Natal is just a fancy eye toy and has no practical uses IMO

You need a remote at this point

Assuming it has more functionality than an EyeToy. I don't exactly have the best of hopes for it. Given the choice, I'd not choose either of them. I like and prefer the old controller based method of gaming.
