I think it's silly. It's slightly novel, I'll give it that much, considering it's motion control on a "slightly" next-gen console, but it's not meant to last, nothing like it is ever meant to last.
The only thing it does to gaming, in my opinion, is set the whole industry back by at least 2 years, because they spent so much time and resources on something that could have been spent on more functional plans, like better hardware for the current consoles (upgrades), or the next generation of consoles altogether.
The next gen consoles should have been revealed this E3, but they weren't, it's a generational tradition to do so. Instead, "motion control" was 'unveiled'. Something the Wii has had for many years.
Epic fail.
