Whats the deal with oversimplifying the names of everything nowadays.

When I was a child stuff had complicated names and we didn't complain, it was all high concept stuff but the names where strange, now everything is monosyllabalic.

Why does that name remind me of the 80s? Regardless, I've got better things to do with my time and money than acting like a chimp on crack in front of my TV. For example, I could buy a chimp and crack, and have a much more entertaining few hours...

At least Natal was a bit different to Move. Now Wave on one side and Move on the other.

Wave is better but only because I don't like natal.

Eitherway, I won't be buying it. Somebody please explain to me, what's wrong with a controller pad? The old cliche - "if it ain't broke don't fix it."

I don't think it's a Microsoft fail, cuz it actually seems more appealing than Sony and Nintendo's offerings (which isn't that hard)

but if they do actually change the name, I'm not sure if it would be any worse than Nintendo going from the Revolution to the Wii

I think Natal was better, but Wave isn't terrible. What's terrible is that rumored price point. I'm not buying a motion camera for that much when I could get 2 or 3 games instead.

The products were never intended to be called Revolution/Natal though, those were just the company's internal project names for them.

The name Wave actually makes sense to me. We all know it is targetted at casual gamers, so what's wrong with a name that sounds like a toy? Obviously the casual audience doesn't follow the industry as closely as the people who frequent this website do so they have no idea what Natal is, nor would they be able to make a reasonable assumption based on it's name.

That being said, I'm still not interested in any motion control.
