This would probably be the longest shot of them all, but if it was just another meaningless cameo I think it'd be funny for him to appear as "The Holy Avenger", a character he played in another one of James Gunn's movies. But like I said, that's the longest of long shots and I have a feeling the reference would fly over most people's heads.

The link "here" is broken! Guess I'll have to wait untill the movie's out to find out who he's playing
Click the phrase Schmoes know instead.

I was hoping for Mal Reynolds and the surviving crew of the Serenity to be sat around in the background somewhere giving an interview or something.

Rats, with the apparent indefinite delay of "Doctor Horrible 2" (or at least I haven't heard much about it) I was hoping we were about to get a bit of filler when Captain Hammer briefly comes out of therapy to lend a hand...

Of course then again that might ruin the movie, I mean Captain Hammer is just so awesome the villains logically wouldn't have a chance, and there wouldn't be much for the Guardians to do... I mean Captain Hammer himself will tell you this... so really it couldn't happen.

Will it be as terrible as his cameo in the second Percy Jackson movie, where he did a shameless plug for Castle?

And in case any one asks, yes I did watch the second Percy Jackson movie. It was a long haul flight on an airline that doesn't have individual TV screens.

Aaaaaaaaand who cares, exactly? I mean really. Nathan Fillion is okay, but he's not an amazing actor.

Besides, him cameoing in a movie centering on a duster-wearing space outlaw? That's like Arnold Schwarzenegger's cameo in that last Terminator movie; no one has any reason to be surprised or find it exciting.

I just hope they don't put too much emphasis on Fillion's appearance. Despite my interest, I've been keeping my expectations about this movie neutral thus far. Now I'm going to expect it to be a hammy piece of crap when I see it.
