so whats "your kind of girl/guy"?

im asking this to see if natural attraction is only cruel to me or if there are others like me that seem to find the one person w/ severe issues in the bunch w/o even trying.

for example.

first love: trichotillomaniac (google it.)
second attraction: bipolar.
third : cutter....i dont even know if theres a name for cutting yourself but its still having issues.
fourth: anorexic.

like lol? anyone else have this issue?

NOTE: im not talking about finding out someone has a disorder therefor being attracted to them. im talking about being attracted to them, and every time finding out they have a disorder...like wtf? anyone else w/ this issue?

Oh god damn it, not again.
Every thread like this, I say the same damn thing.

Everyone. Has. Issues.

The more perfect a person seems, the more damaged they probably are.
See, the world hates perfection. It really does. When it sees it, it does its best to break the crap out of it.
Everyone you find will have problems. Everyone.
All you can really hope to do is find someone with issues you can bare.

True but not everyone has disorders that involve a mental illness/infliction of damage to self

I have only liked two girls... so far, the first was an animal fanatic period (iritating) the second was a B***h in disguise, working undercover for the national society of evil <-- basically she acted nice but then proceeded to destroy your faith in goodness by being pure evil.

To answer the question... My kind of girl is intelligent and pretty, not self-centered and has a dark sense of humour without being a sadist.

I'm surprised you don't know that a "Cutter" as you put it, is the very definition of "Emo"

I seem to go girls who are perfect for the first few months...Then they turn into crazy bitches, who make me want to pin them down and repeatitively punch them in the face until there my fist hurts more than there face does.

So basically, every girl around PMS? :p

I've never had a boyfriend with a disorder, more like problems or just tendancies.

Psychotic seems to fit it quite well.

On topic, I hate chatting up a girl at the bar, only to walk out with her at the end of the night, and watch her light up a cigarette.

Its just wrong.

to start, subconsciously we tend more often to notice that someone has issues even before we actually " find out"

It's called the " hero/savior" mentality most of the time.. basically your drawn to individuals with issues, because somewhere inside there is something saying " I can help them, I can make the suffering go away"

pretty common actually with guys.

then there is another popular " and not so noble" alternate
" easy prey" pretty much targets those with obvious issues because " hey, not like anyone else want's them" or " When it ends I wont feel bad because the baggage is on them not me"
Sometimes it's a sign of low self esteem on the " courtiers " behalf.. aiming for the damaged goods isle for a bargain..because.. well lets face it, the high end models are expensive, and I can never afford that"

there is even a third option of " pin the tail on the donkey" which basically an individual picks out a certain...class or social structure of mate they want.....then just completely blindly starts going through them with little or no real attention beforehand other than " ooh pretty, maybey this one will let me touch her boob"

...sounds like me...i adore girls...not in a sex kind of way, in a "i need to help her" kind of way.

I think my partner went through all those phases with me. (I'm not sure if I should put in a wink smiley here.) But now I'm definitely a catch for the "pin the tail on the donkey" predators.

Their loss!

Have you considered that maybe you made them that way? They were probably fine before you came along.

Hair Puller. I dated one.

OT: Truthfully, I'm attracted to a wide range of females, and believe me, I've sifted through my share of crazy ones.

I think crazy, no matter what kind, has a natural attractive quality to it. Maybe it's our instinctive nature to help them. Maybe there is a natural mystique to it, that is until the mystery is gone when we find out just HOW crazy they are. I don't know. I have learned one thing, when I find out they're crazy, I've learned to ignore my natural urge go deeper, and run for the door. I'm not a therapist, I shouldn't be trying to fix them.
