Natural Selection 2!

According to the sites [http://www.naturalselection2.com/] countdown timer it's a grand total of 1 hour and 30 minutes until it's released.

Anyone else sat around waiting for release? I've been wanting to play for ages, watching videos and whatnot. Reading little things like PC Gamers [http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/10/30/natural-selection-2-releases-tonight-read-this-if-you-want-to-live/] very basic advice items. Anyone else got any nooby advice for newcomers to take heed of?

I've not seen much about this on many places and I'm really hoping it's populated and played, as a few indy multiplayer games I've got have died off fairly quickly. Just hoping the community remains active for a decent amount of time!

Just began downloading it on Steam.

I got it ages ago for free. (Two-for-one indie game deal thingy.)

Played for just a few days before getting bored.

The idea is nice and the execution is solid, but I find the actual combat that makes up the meat of the game to be fucking awful. As a human you'll be shooting at small targets that constantly jump all over the place. As an alien you'll be jumping all over the place trying to execute melee attacks in first person on erratically moving targets. Neither is any fun at all.
