It's a great game from what I've read about it. I'll probably pick it up on the PSN even though I'd find it hilarious to own something called the 'Really Naughty Limited Edition.' The whole ad campaign's a joke and it seems like it's working with more people becoming interested in the game once they find out what it's really all about. Then there are those who want boobie mousepads and naughty pillowcases and it panders to that audience too. it's honestly an ingenious marketing strategy.

Oh Aksys, never change.

^My expression when watching that video... especially the part when he pulls the desk from out of his pants, and then the other guys walks in to see the guy humping... something.
That sounds very uncomfortable. I can see why there were certain expressions invloved.

I'm not sure which marketing campaign is better, this one or the one for Dante's Inferno...

whoops, typo! I meant disk, not desk. Yes, I see how that would be uncomfortable.

By "find out more," I mean to see a picture of an anime girl eating a pine cone.
If by pine cone you mean sausage, then sure: she's eating a pine cone.

I gotta say, I'm interested in getting this game solely thanks to the odd advertising campaign.
You're probably the demographic Funimation (I think) has targeted for their dub of Strike Witches (being attracted to odd advertising, not another, weirder reason). "Winning the war on Pants", made my day when I read that.

why would it need a mousepad and a pillowcase? it's a 360 game, not a computer game.

my friend (a huge otaku) actually has one of these mousepads. He got it as a gift on his birthday from another otaku. I'd have to say it would totally be an embarrassing mousepad, if it wasn't so completely comfortable. your wrist just fits in so nicely.

I don't plan on getting one though because my mouse is a trackball, so I don't need to put my wrist on anything.

The pillowcase on the other hand, is just embarrassing. Then again, it cannot be any worse than one of my female friend's full body Twilight Edward bed sheets... That one is creepy...

does any west gamer media have a slight idea about japan, games like bayonetta and accessories like these really aren't worth commenting

I'm going to guess Michael Atkinson will be all over this.
Definitely...however, something tells me he'll claim an uncensored copy for himself...

What I think is most mind blowing about this is that it's a real thing. People are actually going to see this in a store, in public, then see a regular edition of this game, weigh the options, and go up to an actual counter via an actual line-up to pay money to an actual cashier, who will have no choice but to keep his judgement silent, to acquire this. I've seen pictures of things similiar to all these, and they blow my mind every time. It blows my mind that there is a market for these things, that there is a demand for these things. It just blows my mind that these things exist. Not as much as it would if it weren't just anime, if there's something creepier than pillow / bed cover...thing/mouse pad sexualizing an anime girl, it's using a real woman because it's like you have an unhealthy stalking habit instead of just being way to into a cartoon. I'm not dissing anime, I have enough in my DVD collection, but there's a limit.
