You unlock this mini-game at the end of COD:WaW, and as i was playing this at a freind's and literally screamed "WHAT?!", it may well be the only reason i buy this game. Treyarch in my mind have changed from being the-ones-who-spoiled-COD4 to one that has alot of respect attatched to it for essentially shooting their gritty, realistic feel in the foot.

What are your thoughts, escapees?

No ALL CAPS titles please, and one exclamation mark is enough -mod

Not worthy of a thread when i'm guessing everyone already knows about it and it has had a previous thread. Anyway it was a desperate attempt to ride on and steal away some of the attention away from Left 4 Dead that was generating alot of interest at the time.
There isnt another thread and this game came out today/yestoday so im pretty certain not EVERYONE knows. Even if its jumping on a bandwagon, you can surely give trey some kudos for not being 'another gritty shooter' all the way through, for actually changing something once IW gave them the engine and world war 2 gave them the setting.

You unlocked 3 achievements.

- Old news. (Treyarch even has videos of it around.)
- Spoiler failure.
- Search failure.

But yeah, after playing Left 4 Dead, I'm getting it instead.

Just for reference, tags have to be exactly the same at either end in order to funtion, this includes the case of the letters.

Ok, ill admit defeat on the first link, not sure how i missed that, however no they don't, basically by definition -> I didnt, at least one guy on this thread didnt, no-one i know in the UK did, hell even that youtube video only has 100k views and thats a tiny minority of the people who will now own the game, and thats still not enough of the population to make it the general concensus ¬_¬.

I personally wish the "Sci-Fi/Occult" World War 2 shooter would make a return, I'm tired of all this gritty realism.

Knowing the modding community it'll be about...two weeks? Until someone's made a nazi-zombie mod. Not that I'd really notice unless they changed the voices of the zombies, shoot first, stare at nazi uniforms when all the zombies are dead.

On a tangential Left4Dead note: Fucking retard teammate set off a car alarm. Made it out of the area with just 9 health, the other guy on 30-or so health and two of us dead.

I put my hands up you do have me there: When we said "everyone", it was an hyperbole [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hyperbole], meant to emphasize that the general majority of the population are quite aware of that specific fact. As a hint you might denote a bit of sarcasm [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sarcasm] throughout this specific paragraph.

And the reason I showed you the video wasn't for the views THAT specific youtube rip had. It was merely to point out Treyarch aren't making this a secret, they're actually emphasizing it in order to try to steal away some people from the Left4Dead craze. Go to the CoD forums and ask about it, you'll notice the majority of people are well aware of it.

I know its a hyperbole, doesnt mean i cant contest it because its still based on a view i see as just plain wrong. Also, no shit, the people on COD forums know about COD, they are still not the general population. Also, fair enough, i made a mistake, theres no need to be a colossal douchedag about it. *sigh* i sound all sore now, meh.

I've noticed that this "survival mode against massive waves of enemies" (usually zombies) is starting to become quite popular, is it not? I mean, Gears of War 2 has it's Horde mode, Left 4 Dead is all about surviving against zombies, and now Call of Duty has this.

Do zombies really fit in with Call of Duty's 'realism' selling point?
I don't think so...
but at least they're trying something a bit different.

Man that would be awesome, it wouldn't take long to make. You could just re-work the maps and models from DOD:Source and throw them into L4D. Pow right in the kisser!
You see everyone? Already the concept and the basic plans are there. Now some motivated modder just needs to get round to doing it.
