NCR Ranger Costume

[Soviet Heavy]

How would I go about making one of these? Yeah, Halloween's underway right now, but I just want to make the costume for the hell of it.

What would I need?

-Trench Coat (Obtainable)
-Helmet (Unsure)
-Gas Mask (Tricky)
-Hiking Boots (Own)
-Gloves (Own)
-Pip Boy Prop (How to make?)
-Six Shooter or Sniper prop (Have toy Six Shooter)
-Bandolier (Unsure)
-Paint (Buyable)
-For body armor, maybe a motorcycle padded shirt?
-Grey pants


Any suggestions on where I'd grab a helmet, Gas Mask and Bandolier? (BTW I'm from Canada, don't know where an army surplus store would be.)

Check out an army supply store, I got a Gas mask from one, and they sell Kevlar helmets and Vests, That's in the UK, not sure over by you lol (they should have a bandolier/Webbing too)

How about a... *drum roll* costume shop? All 3 items sound like the stuff you should be able to find in one

Like I said, I am in no way getting this ready for tonight. More like a long term preparation for conventions and next halloween.

Don't you mean an NCR Veteran Ranger?

Unless you're going as the Courier dressed as a veteran ranger you don't need a Pip-Boy.

As for the bandolier, it's only pretty small and could be hidden behind the trench coat if you struggle to find/make one.

The gas mask, I'm not sure where you could get one of those, however, if you have a local costume store or party store they may have fake helmets.
