THEME PARTY

Ok. When you read "Boss Music", what was the first song that popped into your head?

For me, it's this.

Third Strike, Gill's Theme [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFR0DDBkR64]

It never fails to get me hyped. I remember the first time I actually got Gill's life bar down. I was so pumped. And then he pulled out Resurrection [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMKKd7MweN8]. I wasn't even upset. I was so charged, I just yelled at the screen "WELL COME ON, THEN!" and I took him down a second time.

Still one of my most proudest moments in gaming.

Ok, here's a fun one.

Goodnight Demonslayer - Voltaire

It takes the form of a lullaby sung by a father and focusing on his kid's insistence that there are monsters in his room. But instead of trying to reassure the kid that the monsters aren't real, the singer instead is saying that the kid could totally kick those monsters collective butts. It's silly and audacious, but there's a certain sweetness in how the singer is not saying "there's nothing to fear" as is standard, but instead "you don't need to be afraid of them". And that's something I think we all could stand to hear from time to time.

And on a similar note, from comedians Sammy J. and "Randy Feltface":

Perspective

It's catchier than it has any right to be, and amusing in its irreverence while still...well, in a bizarre way actually helping to put your frustrations into perspective...unless you're suicidal, in which case it's probably not the best song to listen to.
