Need a bit of help deciding who to kill first! (Dark Souls: possible spoilers).

I have been faffing about in Dark Souls for a while now, with no real idea about where I´m going and I have discovered several boss creatures that all wipe the floor and their private parts with me.
Right now I need some advice as to where I should focus my attention.
It might be that my strategies are wrong, but I´d like to figure that out on my own!
I just want to know in what order you defeated the following bosses: (I´ll spoiler the names in case someone feels that revealing the name of a boss somehow ruins the experience...)

The Capra Demon. The Hydra. The Moonlight Butterfly.

The Moonlight Butterfly and Capra demon.

Those two need to be killed in order to progress (you get keys from them).

The Hydra is optional and can be killed whenever you think you can take him.

definitely take the Capra demon first, use plunging attacks from off the stairs and do a suicide run to kill his dogs as the do not respawn. Also the Hydra is really easy once you are up close

Okay. Thanks buddy!
The first two times I didn´t even see the damn thing between the trees before her projectiles tore me apart. The third time I got just close enough to realize that fighting i water is a *****!

Actually , the moonlite butterfly is optional , no need to go there at all if you dont want to , you get the key to blighttown from the bell gorgoyles , then you ring the second bell in the area under blighttown. So yeah that key from the moonlight butterfly , completly opional.

Edit: even then , if you have the master key , you can skip blighttown and like 3 bosses , by going through new lando directly to the poison swamp before the lava spider.so even the crapra demon is optional if you know what you are doing, and have the right items.

Moonlight Butterfly is an extremely easy fight, if you found a shield with a decent magic resist. If not, go to Capra. The trick to taking him out is to kill the dogs right away. Makes the fight so much easier.

I'm pretty sure Capra Demon is the only one that's not optional. Hell, if you got a master key, you can skip the Capra Demon, the Depths and the upper part of Blighttown entirely through the Valley of the Drakes. You miss out on some good loot though, wouldn't recommend it.

I tried just running past the Capra demon to put some distance between him and me to dispatch of the dogs, but every time I got trapped between the Demon, the dogs and the wall. I simply do not have enough room to maneuver the way I´d like to! Ah, well... No-one ever said Dark Souls was going to be easy...

Personally I would say the hydra as he's the easiest to defeat...once you've gotten past his wall-of-water magic attack which will rape near enough anyone. That being said, when it actually tries his physical attack it is so weak and inaccurate I spent most of my fight with the hydra not even putting my shield up. The only thing to take into consideration is being close enough so it doesn't use it's magic attacks, and far enough away so that you don't fall into the underwater waterfall.

The Capra demon is such a *****, make sure you've got a good shield. Kill the dogs first then run up the stairs because you've no chance at all on the same level as him.

I have not encountered the moonlight butterfly yet, so I dread to think...

The Watchtower Key you get from killing the Moonlight Butterfly only opens the shortcut between Undead Burg and Darkroot Basin. :s Moonlight Butterfly is as optional as the Hydra.

The key to Blighttown is actually dropped from the Gaping Dragon. The Bell Gargoyles serve as something standing in your way to the first bell. The key to Underburg(what I like to call the area right before the Depths) is actually on a corpse behind the gate that shuts behind the Mecha Boar. Where you'll fight Capra for the key to the Depths, where you'll fight Gaping Dragon for the Blighttown Key.
