Need a decent extraction procrap

I need something to extract files out of downloads.

Either 7-Zip aint doing it for me or I something happened in the download as it either can't unqip something or it dosn't work.

7Zip is generally very good - if it can't open it I suspect there's a problem somewhere. Talk us through the process you are following to extract the file. Also, what file format is the download? .rar, .7z, .zip, etc?

Bear in mind that piracy-related discussion is banned here, so I'm going to assume that you're trying to download a legit patch or mod or something. If that's not the case then I'd suggest asking for advice elsewhere.

7 zip Using: 7z922

Go to The Eternal Dragon Website, an indi RPG a friend is developing that mixes J and Western RPG ellements.

Go to the download section, download and wait a couple of minutes.

Once downloaded I open the folder presented to me and extract everything (the point I am extracting to is an empty foldr on my desctop).

Once done, open said extracted folder and go to the icon for the game, which looks like a blue hexehedron.

CLick on it and hit run.

It has me extract the folder then stops responding.
