Dude, you're 16, tell your mom to go make a sandwich and stop telling you what to play... Yes, she'll get pissed, you might get grounded (from the sound of it) but it is TOTALLY worth it ! You gotta abide your filthy, teenage instincts and piss her off ! The next time she enters your room you WILL be playing an awesome, bloody game, you WILL enjoy it, your mother WILL get mad and you WILL NOT give a shit.

Otherwise, I'd go for a Barbie game... Some of those have mad adrenaline-based gameplay. Or so I've heard.

Dad is a senior systems administrator, he can do so much crap to my computer and I wont ever be able to get back on.

Dammit... Hmm, you didn't mention that your dad was on your mothers side in this battle between generations (and beliefs). Under these dramatically changed circumstances one must decide whether to fight it or abide it.

But when your mom thinks that even BF: Heroes is too violent (which is quite extreme. The game is no more violent than bunny bugs) it would be pretty difficult to find any games to play.

Can't really help you then... Good luck ! (or Minecraft !!! )

dad thinks my mom can go off the deep end but he's odd on how he stands on things.

Since you're looking for adrenaline you should check out Warsow (http://www.warsow.net). It's free, fast-paced action but I wouldn't call it violent. You can also try Quake Live because the gore has been stripped away from that game.

Is your mom against strategy games? You have Age of Empires, Command & Conquer and Civilization... no blood or gore and fun games but not much adrenaline.

Minecraft is a decent choice, and aside form that, I'd advise checking out some older games. Maybe even see if you can get your hands on some old platformers like the 2D Marios and Sonics (Ristar's a pretty good option, if you can find it).

League of Legends is free to play, and fast paced. Terraria is $10 through steam, if you can still play a 16bit game, it's the best investment ive made in quite awhile.
Both of these are brilliant suggestions, I'd really check them out if you haven't already, OP.

And if you need help getting into LoL, if you're EU I know a lot of people who can help (and obviously myself).

Well, by "shooter" what do you mean? are you talking first person shooters only, or are 3rd person in there too, and what about games like Ikagura? Is mega man no good?

Links to games I think would pass:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj23K8Ri68E - Ikaruga - x360 arcade

http://store.steampowered.com/app/63700/?snr=1_4_4__13 - bit trip beat - steam

http://store.steampowered.com/app/40800/?snr=1_4_4__13 - Super meat boy - steam or x360 (make sure you have a controller to play it with, keyboard is no good)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/49600/ - Beat hazard - steam or x360

http://store.steampowered.com/app/12900/ - audiosurf - steam

http://store.steampowered.com/app/20820/ - shatter - steam

http://store.steampowered.com/app/70300/ - VVVVVV - steam

There is a small list to get you started. let me know if any of these are too violent and I can suggest others. Also, some of these games might also be on other platforms.

Finally, go to the library and read Harry Potter while you are there. Lets see your mom stop that.

fast-paced and brightly cartoonish, though regrettably short: Elephant Quest [http://www.kongregate.com/games/ArmorGames/elephant-quest]. I'm sure there are a ton of other Kongregate games your mother wouldn't disapprove of.

...though if you ever feel like really rebelling and freaking her out... just fire up Endless Zombie Rampage on that same site...

My mom is an overbearing and over protective person, for this I have never had pokemon cards or the games, I'm not allowed to play shooters of any kind (im 16). Nor am I allowed to play poker on the internet for play money and I'm pretty good at it.

Anyways are there any other high risk type games like shooters with one shot one kill and fast paced action? or any free games you would recommend that are fun to play?

Edit: Games that are like this, no shooters >.< , games that give that type of adrenaline rush
I feel sorry for you. I've played shooters since the age of ~10. Personally, I don't get the same feeling in any other genre that I get in FPS'. I just suggest that you try to persuade your parents and make them see sense that nothing will happen to you by simply playing a shooter.

You think i haven't tried? My mom is convinced it will make me want to join the army and kill people and there is "scientific proof" that its bad for brain growth >.<

Robot Unicorn Attack? I heard it,s fun
or maybe Contra if you have a DS
you could always try to convince your mom to try TF2 and turn on holiday gibs/child protection.

My suggestion is Super Mario Bros. 3! It is on the NES, not the SNES, unless you're talking about Super Mario All Stars. The graphics of SMB3 should be fine.

Torus Trooper
Mu-Cade
rRootage
Gunroar
A7XPG
Titanion
AAAaaAAAaaaAAAAAA (a reckless disregard for gravity)
Jumper trilogy
AnUntitledStory
Knytt Stories (it's ambient but whatever)
Boxes (search boxes twenty3 or you'll never find it)
Super Meat Boy (but jumper first)
Zeno Clash (fps elements)

And of course... Typhoon 2001. Play it before any of the others. If it doesn't remind you of anything, well, I feel sorry for you :/
