Need a recommendation on a HDTV

Does anyone have any good suggestions on a HDTV that has good resolution, sound, and is like 20-30 inches long all in a $500 budget? I'm asking this question since I don't know much about HDTV's and there's so many to choose from. I will be using the TV for watching blu ray movies and playing video games,

Anyone know of a HDTV like that?

An HDTV with good sound is a bit off regardless of how good it gets it can only come from 2 speakers relatively close to each other which makes the sound very 2D. I would suggest a external speaker system for sound.

I'm using a Emprex WT323 32" Widescreen LCD HDTV it supports 1080I(not 1080P though) although you'll be hard pressed to find one I got mine for about $300 at Target.

as a more constructive and helpful statement you could try Vizio they usually have a lot of cheap ones that are not too bad quality wise either.

What's there a big difference between 1080i and 1080p? BTW love your avatar since I love the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimya.
