Need a recommendation

I am interested in buying a gun, but I'm not sure what to get. I've thought about getting a .44 Desert Eagle or a Mini-14, but I want to get some other ideas before committing to buying one. So I ask you, fellow escapists, what gun should I buy? It has to be California-legal and not have too much associated costs with maintaining the gun. Thanks.

i dont know about what guns are illegal on the west coast, but i´d say a Glock18. automatic pistols ftw.

Guns are the wussy way to go; if you have chutzpa you can defeat any foe with your bare hands.

I would assume that California allows rifles but doesn't allow concealed weapons since that is what most densely populated areas do so you might want to factor that into your choices.

Concealable weapons are the best kind. If thats no your thing then go big or go home.
50. desert eagle is my fav though. not really concealable, but i dont care.

I say get the Mini 14. Once you zero in the sights you'll be able to place round after round in the same spot. Plus the ammo is very cheap and easy to come by. SO easy in fact they sell them at certain Wal Marts.

Another thing that I think is an incentive is that the fact that it is a scaled down version of the M14, which, like the M1 Garand, is built quite solid and is guaranteed to last you a hell of a long time. Heck, some M14s have even outlived some of the people that used them and still work like they just came off the line.

Why do you want a gun... Dont keep a gun in your house- common sense should tell you that.

Although some Americans to feel strongly about their guns n homes.

If you're into guns, just buy a replica.

Err... why would you exactly need a gun? Unless you want to actually hurt some people real bad, a replica or a soft air gun is really good enough.
