EDIT: On reading your post more thoroughly, this post isn't too helpful... Sorry about that. Maybe the second video could help, but maybe you'll enjoy them anyways.

Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven" is kind of easy-intermediate difficulty and everybody knows it. Don't care much for the song myself as something to listen to but it's still kind of fun to play, much like "More Than Words" is.

I used Ketevan's version as I could find an original Dylan recording. She swaps the 2nd and 3rd verses around in this recording.
And here's the chords.

In a community of a bunch of metalhead dorks and Pendulum worshipers, I'm excited about the fact that you exist.

Mr. Plissken, I couldn't agree with you more. Not only do I see many of your posts as a voice of reason, I am astonished by the amount of gaming cliches there are here. I avoid nearly any thread about music, due to the sheer amount of terrible metal being mentioned or the occasional weird Enya-ey crap that some people get their jollies while listening to. Or the fifteen year-olds worshiping Green Day. As far as I'm concerned, we're rare gems in a sea of poo.

Anything by Bob Dylan, Norwegian Wood by The Beatles is a great song to play, also Wish you where here and Pigs on the Wing by Pink Floyd are also great acoustic songs to learn.

John Butler has a fair good acoustic songs that I'd say an average guitar player could get to learning.

Doubt most would be able to sing and play at the same time though. I sure as hell couldn't play Funky Tonight(actually, haven't tried I'll go do that now) but it's awesome.
