So I'm out shopping for my school club. I have a rather small budget ~200-300 dollars and I'm looking for a speaker set that can work with at least 1 microphone. The issue here is that the set we have right now (which we borrow anyways) isn't very good at actually playing music since it can't handle any form of bass at all without sounding insanely distorted. Is there any solution for me?

Are you looking for a microphone input so you can use it as a PA system or just so you can hook up another audio source, like an MP3 player?

Possibly both. So I can use it as both a PA system and so I can hook it up to another audio source. The one we have now can do it with an adapter we own. It just does a shitty job. In all honesty I know near 0 about audio crap. Most importantly really are budgetary concerns. What I am looking for at the moment are:

-Can possibly be hooked up with a microphone system in the future (meaning when we have the savings for the microphones in the future we can buy them and use them)
-Can play from MP3 or computer with the proper jacks
-Can play most music (nothing like dubstep) But most modern pop.
-No more than 350 USD.
