This is is

If you can help me find it in 1280x1024 I'll give you a cookie.

It's probably originated from Deviant art.It isn't from anything (movie, game).

*EDIT* It may be called Megastructure_by_Hideyoshi, I found a bigger version, just not 1280x1024 and I wouldn't want to modify it.

Bumping for obvious reasons.
Don't bump.
Not even don't bump so soon, just don't bump. It's annoying.

Also, the majority of computers will allow you to save the image and then just use it. If it gives you black bars, just twiddle about withe settings and see if anything happens.

just find something else if the artist diddent make it 1280x1024, so i would think just finding something else would be more efficient

Nice try,here.
Do you know what its from? A game, a film, Anime? If I knew I might try having a propor look.
It's from neither of those,it's a wallpaper I found by chance and saved, even shared with people by uploading it to tinypic.

Can't be movie for sure, movie artist would have done better job on the flying Deasthstars in the background... Same thing goes for a game... And for anime too...
I just some Photoshop "Artist" weekend, or two...

You can always use the website Tineye [http://www.tineye.com/]. It's like the reverse of Google images.

Anyway, using Tineye,

They ain't Death Stars from what I can see, they're just ball-shaped buildings supported by some thin curved bars. That's not Star Wars at all in fact, as you can see by the helicopters in the air :p
