Fellow Escapees!
I'm currently in the final year of my study of Social Work, in Holland. As part of this final year, I'm trying to contact social workers from other countries than Holland. Literally anywhere in the world is fine.
If you are a social worker and would like to help a starting social worker out a little, please tell me a little bit about how social work is in your country. Below are a few questions to start this off, any response is greatly appreciated:
-What courses or studies did you follow to become a social worker?
-What level of education is that in your country? (i.e. university, college, etc.)
-What are the main goals of social work there? What is the main focus?
-Could you tell me a little about the work you do?
-Do you feel social workers are 'above' clients, or do you see your client as an equal?
I'll try to be as active as possible in this thread to keep it going a little. Alright, let's hear it!
