Yeah... i recently picked up Crysis, and now i am very pissed off.

Here i am, looking to enjoy the most intense and realistic graphical experience to date, and i can only set my graphics on... High...

So escapist, i need halp.

My specs:
ATI HD 4870 Graphics Card, Crossfire compatible
AMD Phenom 3.0 GHz Quad Core processor
3.25 GB of ram (should be 4, but somethings wrong with one of the sticks >.> iunno =( )

Halp? =(

You can only set it to high...
My advice; burn your PC, get a Mac, and then realize that you're better off than some.

What? How is this rig at all bad? Was this a sarcastic-o-thread?

Only high? I lag on low on this thing. You don't need an upgrade, you need a reality check.

Same. After you burn it, however, take its ashes and destroy them in a lab with dangerous chemicals. Don't want that horrible, PC-loving disease to spread!
You must be burned too, then.

But hey. You can play it on high, My laptop would die in a firey implosion

I find it interesting that your complete bitching is based on the fact that you can't go higher then the highest setting in a video game.
If you really want "halp", then go play an Atari or an old school console.
At least that will put you in perspective.

If Very High is greyed out, then you're on XP. The solution is to buy Vista/7.

No, Very High mode requires DirectX 10, which is not available on XP.

Ah, ok. Thank you. You have been very helpful, unlike the rest of the lot here who told me to get a Mac, accused me of trolling, or otherwise being spoiled =3

Screw these douches. Some people just don't understand the beauty of getting very high settings with a solid 60 fps. (one day... one day)

Do you have a TN computer screen? I always did until I got a IPS panel. Believe me, buy IPS. The quality of the colour correction is frigging amazing. As long as the refresh rate is good then your pretty much set. There is no real increase in the amount of power needed to run the game but it should look much fuller and more colourful.

If you're running a '32 bit' operating system (pretty much all XP and Vistas) it can only use 3.25GB of RAM.
So don't worry, your RAM is not broken. You'd have to buy a 64 bit version of Windows for it to be able to use more that 3.25GB :)

Anyone telling you to get a mac is lying. I had more problems with that 'user friendly' little peice of inflexible garbage than I had with a PC that ran Windows 97'. Yeah come on apple fans, ready those rotten vegatables, I care not.

But yes, like it's been stated you can't run 'Very high' on XP, I've had that difficulty with a few games, Seek Windows 7 out in the near future if you're not poor like me. :)

I think you're good enough with those specs. And x86 OS can only use 3,25GB of RAM as someone might have already corrected. x64 OS practically has no restrictions.

You should also have a look at the graphics' settings of your card. There you can balance quite specifically between performance and quality.
