Well, I was rather hesitant about this, but since a thread about naming a gun in TF2 is acceptable, I guess I'm not about to get in any trouble with this.

As some of you may know, I'm terrible with names. Really, really awful. So, unsurprisingly, when I need to name six party members for EO2, I end up stumped. In case you're wondering, EO is a series of turn-based dungeon crawling RPGs for the DS. They're excellent, and hate you. Go play them.

So far, I've got the following lineup: Tycho (alchemist), Casualty (Protector, I figured some pessimism was in order), Agricult (backup survivalist, holdover name from my EO3 farmer) and Jinx (Hexer).

I need a War Magus - essentially a healer/melee hybrid class - and a Ronin named. Leaning towards a name ripped from the Hospitalier knights for the former, but past that, I'm all out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm terrible with names too :p

The worst part of an RPG is coming up with a fitting title for the lot. I find looking through mythology wikis a great source of inspiration.

I vote for Jaq and Royo respectively. Just the first things that came to mind.
Might go with Royo, as a backup name. Thanks.

Excellent advice. Hadn't thought about that, for some reason.

Oh, I forgot to mention it before, but the game has an 8 character limit on names.

Typically, I just name the characters variants of their classes.
That way, when I'm going to my roster forming a party, I can quickly see who is what.

ie. Medic -> Cleric. Protector/Hoplite -> Paladin, Troubador -> Bard, Landsknecht/Gladiator -> Fighter, etc.

I use Wikipedia to find the names of ancient gods, deities and other ethereal beings, then I change the name to fit my character or follow links about their sons, daughters, the star they were named after or that was named after them etc., until I find one that clicks.

Hope I helped! ^^

I'd do this, but I have a highly impractical approach to playing. By which I mean making a team of 5+survivalist and sticking with it.

You did, thanks. Going to start looking instead of mashing refresh.
