Well I'm just downloaded my first emulator (pSX) and I'm trying to have m nostalgia and enjoy it too by using a controller. I try to restart the whole process from scratch but there is apparently some unknown redone program I'm unaware of. I'm using a wireless controller with a USB connection. Right now I'm dropping the 360 controller thing and see if I can't get my PS3 controller to work. I need my dang nostalgia, I need to play MegaMan Legends 1&2 so ill be ready for 3. But i downloaded XBox360_En32-bit, deleted it, deleted the accessory and status data but I can't delete it.DannyFree said:Wireless or wired? Maybe a USB connector would come in handy if it's wireless. I think a charger works.
Are you talking about the 360 controller drivers? You'll often find once you try to load a game that you can simply configure the controls in the options to use the controller anyway, drivers or no.
One more thing, 2 night ago i got my PS3 controller to work perfectly. Yeah! Than when i went to bed that night my controller won't work on the game. I tried closing pSX and reopening it(trying it again when I get home)but that didn't work, unplugging and replugging the controller, seeing if the computer recognized the controller(again, double-check), and looked for the same .zip file I used to make it work (which was gone). Pretty sure that .zip file is key, i think my net security system may have deleted it because i downloaded it from the web. I'll look through my recycle bin and where ever EESET keeps programs it fins corrupt. I found the file on a forum, the file was called (i think) PC to Controller files.zip or pac or whatever. That file or forum is key to restoration, just need to know what to search for now...DannyFree said:Yeah, I went through something similar with a wired 360 controller. The drivers online don't work, stick them in a folder, zip it up, get rid of it, whatever. Look along the taskbar of the psx for Configure, check the drop-down menu with the USB in the port, and configure the buttons up.
