Need help with 360 controller receiver for PC

So I just recently bought a 360 controller with the receiver for my pc to play games that work better with a controller, but i installed the software and put the receiver into the computer and it wont turn on. I press the sync button and nothing, i have tried putting it into several different USB slots and the same thing happens. Anybody else know what to do?

You might try downloading switchblade if you haven't already. Then download X-fire. Also a wired controller might be a better idea.

Call Microsoft? Email Microsoft? Check their support forums?

I'd do those things first.

This might sound dumb but are you sure the batteries you put in are charged? Otherwise I would say that the controller is faulty because they should turn on even when there is nothing to connect to and flash.

The controller isnt the problem, its the wireless receiver that wont turn on.
