Hi all, I'm hoping some of you can help me with a decision.

Soon I shall be getting my tax back, and I have decided to spend it on a fighting game, but I'm not sure which one.

I have skullgirls on ps3 but it has really died online wise.

so my choices are the pc skullgirls beta, Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend, Guilty Gear (most recent, guilty gear is the only one I don't know much about, so I may need to find out the most recent) and Persona 4 arena.

Now, I know how most play except GG, so my question to decide is this.

which one has the more alive/ less dead online community? Living in Australia a lot of games don't have anyone online so I would like one where there is still an online following.

thanks again all.

Edit: another thing I should ask, which one has good netcode? I ask because I have heard from some people UMvC had terrible netcode.

No-one can tell me about even the individual games online?
Wykydtron could probably tell you. He's a fighting game fanatic of some sorts. Me? I've haven't played any of those games. Was into Soul Calibur for a bit. Just for the custom characters.

Blazblue is Guilty Gear with some changes.
I have only a bit of Persona 4 Arena experience, but it seems right above the point of being needlessly complicated (then again the only fighting games I've played are GG, BB, and DOA)

I don't know much about Skull Girls (gameplay wise), but with the amount of money they spent on it (which I think is kind of excessive) I think the netcode for the PC should be good.

Get Persona 4 Arena only if you're really invested in the stories of Persona 3 and Persona 4 as It's a direct sequel to these two JRPGs. Getting to a fight in story mode can take up to 40 minutes (or more in some cases) of story, dialogue trees and/or cutscenes to get started and if you're not patient or into the continuation of the Persona verse for those two games I mentioned, this is not the title for you. If you like the fighting from looking at a few gameplay videos, it's from the same people who did BlazBlue so you might wanna try that title instead if you want the regular 'short story - start fighting' thing that most fighting games have if they even bother with a story mode.

I'd recommend checking that out for yourself as I have no interest whatsoever with online play of any kind and play the fighting games like back in the day - with someone I'm comfortable with as player 2. I like my human interaction to be as little and as non-obnoxious as possible. Even posting on this site sometimes sets off my anxiety like anything I said was in person, for some reason.
