Need help with a potentially HUGE problem...

Ok, I've posted this question on many posting sites that i frequent. Has anyone ever heard of a magazine company called Reader's Choice or Reader's Source? They keep calling me, wanting me to confirm a magazine subscription that I don't remember ordering. Please can anyone help me.

Just say that you don't want it then hang up the phone and get wasted. Or even better get wasted and talk to them when your drunk and have one of your friends record it. It'll be hilarious. then you can put it on youtube and become famous.

If they want you to "confirm" it, that means they don't have your information. If they did, they wouldn't need anything "confirmed." They're just creepy telemarketers.

Next time they call, tell them to take your number off their list or you'll report them to the Better Business Bureau or equivalent wherever you are. That should fix it.

And above all DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO!! They're phishing for credit or debit card numbers.

Ask for your credit card history see if someone has bought this "subscription" with your money. If someone has, then ask the credit card company where these magazines are to be sent to.. the address where the magazines are being sent is probably the address of the dude who used your credit card.

Or.. its a wrong number.

Reader's Choice sounds a little familiar. When they call, can't you just tell them you didn't order the subscription? I will take it you don't recall filling out any forms or giving them your bank details then you probably shouldn't be concerned.

Best check your outgoings though as well, just in case.

Upon googling Reader's Source the top two responses had the words 'Rip-off' featured boldly. I would be concerned I think.

Tell them to stop calling, and that if they don't you'll report them to whatever government department administers your "do not call" list.
