Need help with amnesiac friend.

Recently, one of my best friend suffered a mild concussion while playing football. I wasn't there, but he went to the hospital for several days before coming back. There wasn't much damage done physically, and he recovered, but he seemed to have suffered from selective amnesia. He doesn't remeber anyone new he met in the last 5 years, therefore, he doesn't know me. How can I help him with this?

Go to the doctor's with him, and ask about it there. If there's nothing you can do, then at least he knows you're his friend.

I've never had to deal with this situation, but you should try showing them photos - to sort of jog their memory and teach them who you were to them.

I have no idea how this can be resolved. The TV usually says that amnesia will eventually go away so I guess in the meantime you just befriend him again and hope he gets his memories back.

Sometimes certain memorable objects, smells, sounds, etc. can trigger memory recall. But I would say that generally you will just have wait for him to make a full recovery. It takes a bit of time usually.

Psychometrics may work. You know, objects with memorable history and such. Photos, anything he cherished.

I would just start a new friendship, nothing wrong with starting over. If he remembers he remembers if not he's still your buddy.

Write a play on when you met him. It might make you his friend again even if it doesn't work.

Wait a few days, maybe a week or two, then blast him with pics, videos, items, etc from the past five years. This sudden burst after givng his mind time to heal some should jumpstart his memory.

If that doesn't work, just give him the memory cap from Look Around You.

Pull hilarious pranks that make you look psychic, as you will know things about him that you shouldn't from his POV. Just fuck with him. Seriously, it'll be hilarious once it's all over.
