I have AVPD and it's gotten really bad. I never leave my house except for school. I can't bring myself to talk to people outside of one word replies. It's gotten to the point where I can't even play video games online now, and that I had to make a fake account just to post this. It's destroying my life and I need help. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Aye. if you want to start talking to people more, you could do a lot worse than posting in some of the forums here. I've not met anyone I haven't liked so far. If you look in the 'dark secrets' forum thread, you'll find that when it comes to most things, you're not the only one. I was driven online by the shallowness of other people my age. Talking to older people, particularly the elderly, can restore some of your faith in humanity. I would suggest staying away from YouTube comments pages for the same reason.
