It's a great game, but there is no single player campaign. Only sandbox kind of games, which are still plenty fun to unlock all the achievements, but theres no story line or anything. I'd say the game is based more on Online multiplayer, which, in and of itself, has games that take up to a week to finish, they are that massive.

If you want a game more geared towards single player, you should probably look elsewhere, but that's just my opinion. I love sins, but theres just not enough to merit buying it without multiplayer in mind.

While we're on this the topic of recommending games...
I was wondering, which should I get for my 360? Bioshock, or CoD4?
Assuming I can only buy one in conjunction with GTAIV.
Which should I get now, and which should I get later?

Cod 4 has a shorter, less engrossing story (in my opinion, anyway), although it does have some amazing moments. Bioshock is more involved, and has an amazing setting and atmosphere; assuming you listen to all the tapes and read the notes and so forth the story really grabs you (although I did think it slightly outstayed it's welcome).

Cod 4 is more action oriented and faster paced, and of course it has multiplayer. If you're looking for single player only, I would get Bioshock. If you play online as well, then you have to consider Cod, as the replay value will be that much greater.

Sins is a great game, although I wouldn't say I play it religiously. There are also various mods available for it, which is nice.

Sins is a huge game, its about managing systems. Its not about micro managing your ships in battle.

So if you like a 4x Strategy Game, get it.
If you are a C&C fan, try out the demo first.

I did and i wasnt that happy as i am a C&C fan.

I've heard SoS empire is a complex game, I would only get it if you like complex games. I do recomend finding a demo though to test if you like it.

I think it depends on which direction you're coming at it from. By all accounts, experienced 4X gamers (eg Civilisation, Galactic Civilisations) seem to regard it as fairly simplistic.

As somebody who only really likes the simpler side of strategy gaming (Dawn of War and Company of Heroes rather than Age Of Empires), and who recoiled in horror the first time he loaded Galactic Civs 2, I find Sins to be pitched perfectly, once you get past the slightly obscure tutorials. The recent updates have made an enormous difference as well - the AI will concede a hopeless position, and time acceleration has been introduced, along with a graphical update for high end systems.
