For about a couple of weeks now, my computer has been putting itself into hibernation or turns itself off, and when i try and turn it back on it'll turn on for about a second and turn off again, i have to leave it for about a minute and then turn it on or it'll just repeat this constantly. I've found that if i play games such as WoW then it'll turn off sooner than if i just go on msn etc, But it still does it it just takes much longer to do so. I cleaned it out yesterday, cleared it off dust etc but it still does it, would anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? thankyou

Open the case, turn it on and see if there are any fan and/or led malfunction indications (dont't touch anything inside when it's on just to be safe). Also go into your BIOS setup menu at startup and monitor the temperatures of the CPU and MoBo. If they rise quickly and/or if some fans are not working, it's probably a cooling malfunction.

This might be an over heating problem or too much strain on the power supply. Turn off and unplug your power supply, find the bios battery, its the small watch battery on your mother board. Take it out for 30 seconds the put it back in and start the machine up again. This will make it "forget" previous problems and if it was a temporary but unresolved problem it should go away. If it happens again, make sure all the fans are working and think about upgrading your power supply.
Please do. If these results come back negative, try looking on your MoBo for ruptured capacitarors. Sounds you've got a duff PSU or a virus. Try re-installing windows. That solves a lot of PC problems.
