need help with my iPhone

a while ago I decided to jailbreak my iPhone3GS but for some reason the touchscreen is in the frits and I dont want to install official FW so can somebody offer a solution?
its a 16GB model and it has Cydia installed
PS never mind its working again
PPS ignore the PS its broken again also can somebody tell me how to install older FW on the iPhone?
PPPS inststalled OFW still broken the TC is probaly buste AKA needs replacing still thanks for the help

Why don't you just restore the original Firmware then re-Jailbreak it?

You can restore the iPhone to any Firmware you want. You can donwload the different versions off Apples website and then hold CTRL when you press restore in iTunes and it should bring up a window allowing you to select the Firmware you want to restore to.

thanks! it will be a pain to reinstall all my apps but it beats having a 200$+ paperweight
