Before I start, sorry for making a Fallout topic, there's a heap of them around currently.

So I want to play Fallout 3 on the 360, I played it for a little awhile ages ago and had mixed feelings about it, but want to give it a proper playthrough. Obviously the GOTY edition sounds cool, since it has 5 expansions and such.

I was just wondering exactly how these expansions are accessed? Is it through somewhere in the games over world or are they separate campaigns? Also is it worth the extra cash for this edition or would I be better off just getting a far cheaper copy of the standard version?

Thanks muchly.

get the Goty edition. The fallout3 Dlc's are the only dlc's I know that are worth buying.
And all these expansions are started when you are in the area and a quest messege pops up and says "a you should go to " when you are at that place the adventure begins.

Each DLC mission is given to you by way of a radio signal, if you listen to it then the quest will become active.
Wait... so can you access these radio stations anywhere?

Yeah GOTY edition is the best bang for your buck. The only DLC that I didn't enjoy was Mothership Zeta(too linear compared to the rest of the game).

Just get goty, seriously.

On the 360 they're on another disc that you load on then play using the regular game disc.

Yeah, normally a minute or two into the game it will start checking for DLC then a few pop ups will come up talking about mysterious radio signals.

All of the stations can be accessed from the Pip-Boy.
