So my kid brother is getting an xbox 360 for christmas, yes I know its early but hear me out.

My brother is nine and my mum is scrict on the whole age rating things in our house and she was looking to know what suitable games should she give my brother for christmas. I looked on the internet and magazines but I found very little. Also the highest age rating game he is allowed is 12.

So please could you give me some xbox 360 games that are age rated 12 and under.

Also please don't say any old game if you could suggest something you think he would enjoy I would be grateful.

Well, in that case, you're going to have to tell us what he likes.

Any of the lego games are good, lego batman for example.
But in all honesty, the best idea would be to get him a wii.

The Lego Indiana Jones stuff seems to be popular, and IIRC Mass Effect is a 12 here in Britain.

How about a good racing game, if he likes cars/racing and all that jazz, obviously no age ratings and they can be very fun. GRID and pgr4 are good arcade racers so anyone can pick it up and learn the games pretty fast.

I can't really help you with actual game suggestions, my knowledge of games suitable for children is quite lacking, but might I suggest buying a Microsoft Points card instead?

That way, he can choose a couple of games from the X-Box Live Arcade, most of which are more suitable for kids, plus he can try out the trials of the games before buying.

Also, if your parents set up the X-Box's Parental Controls properly, he wont be able to access any games or content which is unsuitable, while still having 'free reign' of his X-Box and points, to spend on whatever he likes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Very fun game.

Also racing games aren't too bad. I'd just look at the ESRB's on them.

Thanks guys I'll use the information you give me and put it to good use.

Now that I think about it, but if I asked this question in any other website they would have probably flamed me for some unknown reason. Just proves how awesome this site is thanks again guys.

Arkham Asylum are really all that come to mind.
For a 9 year old?
The Orange Box was 15 wasn't it? Hmmm.
When I was that age, I was rocking the adventure game genre but there aren't any of those out until Brutal Legend and that's a 15.
Oh, oh. Banjo Kazooie. If he likes Crash and Jak and Daxter then that's the only way to go.

As an aside, how awesome was Crash Team Racing?
