I'm going to make this short and sweet can you guys help me find a laptop that can run games at a decent rate with a price between 400$ and 500$?

Uhhh, not unless you find an incredible deal somewhere. What kind of games are you wanting to run? If they're a few years old, then perhaps a top-of-the-line laptop from 3-5 years ago can run them, and you could save on buying it used. Still, I think you'd be hard pressed to get something decent for under $500.

I have a netbook which I use to run games from GOG.com- It works great! Of course, they're all super old games. Frankly, you'd be hard pressed to make any computer run new stuff for less than $500- What kind of games do you like? If you're a turn based strategy buff, well, you're in luck! The glitzier graphics you're looking for, the less chance you've got.

Im not sure how they are with games, but check out Asus laptops if you can. I broke the electrical input on the laptop, we sent it in and a week later it came back fully fixed free of charged. In terms of quality products and good customer service, I highly recommend them, I treat this laptop like shit and it runs awesome.

Honestly, you will have a hard time finding a laptop that will last very long in gaming without spending 1400+. There are some out there for 800 or so that can run current games okay, but won't have much staying power. If you're limited on budget and don't have to have a laptop, a desktop will get you much better bang for the buck.

I'd take a look at this chart to see what brand you would think is better

http://www.geckoandfly.com/6311/the-most-reliable-laptop-survey-best-netbook-reliability-comparison/

Stay away from HPs. Of all the HPs that I came across, they all had some sort of problem that required to be sent back to the manufacture.

ASUS is a great brand imo.

Laptops with a dedicated GPU will eat alive the Intel Intergrated chips.
Duel core/quad core cpu

Those two things make the gaming laptop.

Maybe if you bought ex-government hardware. They swap out their gear occasionally and I think you can buy it.
