Need some help in Brink.

As everyone probably already knows, the friendly AI in Brink is terrible.
Because of this, very few people still play the game. They're all waiting for the DLC to come out in early July, which is said to fix the AI.

Anyway, I need someone to help me finish the 3 Star challenges on all except Parkour This, and to also help me with the Missle Launch Security Mission.

I figured this would be the best place to put this thread, since this is a gaming community based forum. I currently play on PS3, my PSN is Pirakahunter788. If you can or want to help me, please post below.

Edit : I've just finished the Objective, Parkour, and Tower Defense 3 Star challenges. Only things left is the Escort Challenge and the Missle Security mission.

How come? In most cases, I can shoot over the bot without the enemies being able to shoot back, due to their poor AI. Only problem is when more than 5 guys come out and rush me.

So, what i shall ask is, is brink a good game?
It's received mixed reviews and your opinion might just tip me over the edge and get it!

I didn't have that much of a problem with the AI (maybe it's just crappy for PS3, i used xbox). I didn't really have deal with them that much.

Snatch and ran with the objectives, that's all the advice i have. Beat all the campaigns including the "What if" campaigns.

Upgarading your charecter with better abilities is always good.

Because they are shooting the tank and damaging it, undoing your welding efforts. You should keep fire away from the tank.

Why even bother doing the 3 star challenges? You don't actually unlock anything for doing them, only the 2 star ones give you weapon upgrades. I would offer to help, but I still can't even do the 2 star objective one. That damn operative bit is fucking impossible. And I'm sure as hell not doing any of the others again, tower defence wasn't bad but escort was annoying as hell.

For one, There's 2 trophies involving the 3 Star challenges. I wouldn't do em either if that wasn't the case.

Because they are shooting the tank and damaging it, undoing your welding efforts. You should keep fire away from the tank.

That's a little hard to do, since they shoot the bot anyway.
Least when you're behind it, they're stuck changing targets between you and the bot.

The AI is god-awful, everybody knows that. So there's a couple things you can try:
1. Do the challenges at a low level, to avoid the coms having self-rez and other abilities
2. Roll Heavy and try to simply overpower the enemies with firepower/greandes etc
3. Roll Light and try to beat them/outrun them to the objectives (Be More Objective)

An important point is not to change your game up and get frustrated. Pick a style, learn your gun's strengths and weaknesses, play online for a while until you feel you've mastered it, then try it in the challenges. These are meant to be challenges, multiple repetitions may be needed.

Splash Damage, who made the game, also makes the InFamous series, and you can notice some of the similar behaviors in the AI characters. Noticeably, the AI characters can only focus on one thing at a time (e.g. capturing an objective, command post, shooting, or resurrecting you), as they go through their priority checklist.

You can somewhat exploit this by choosing classes that aren't needed, e.g. a solider on a Hack objective. The AI characters will deprioritize you, and shoot at you less unless you are the only one around.

You can watch AI characters shoot a particular class while you close with them and melee them, or watch medics capture a command post while you're on the ground 2m away. And then the medic runs away. Its frustrating, and hopefully they will fix it to a more reasonable level.

No trophy is worth the aggravation of those 3 stars. And unfortunately doing them in co-op doesn't help, because you lose the rest of your ai team, me and a friend found that out when we first tried it, so unless you get an entire team of people you're not gona have much luck.

Ah, it's mainly on personal opinion.
I'm a fan of shooters overall. I've played Black Ops, Bad Company 2, you name it.
This, has it's own niche. I enjoy the cartoony feel of everything. Only issues for me are the dreaded AI, how everyone on the enemy team glows red, and the fact that the assault rifles are all underpowered. Mainly from the immense recoil and the lack of ammo.

Otherwise, great game. I do suggest playing with friends though.
