Need some help with iTunes

I just got a new Laptop and I downloaded iTunes but I don't have any of my albums anymore so I was wondering is there any way I could get the songs from my iPod onto my iTunes?

I've been trying to do this for a year.

My laptop crashed and I'm trying to import songs from my iPod to my new Mac.

Tried it once using iPodDisk, but that fucked up the Mac, so I didn't bother again. Though it might work for you.

They really need to add a feature to itunes to allow an easier way to do this.

Connect you ipod to your laptop. Open "my computer" and look for the ipod drive. I use vista so it might be different for you. Open the ipod drive and click organize->folder and search options->view->show hidden files and folders.

Open up the folder (i think its called) ipod_control and then the music folder, and then just copy the folders onto your pc. Then open itunes and File-Add folder to libary.
