I have a problem:
Recently, I wanted to download a patch for KOTOR 2, bucause my auto-patcher was broken, but firefox didn't save it or allow me to open it.
The same thing happened with IE8, but it said "file contains virus".
This is still present, and I don't know how to solve it, I scanned my computer (Ihave avast! Pro) but it didn't find any threats.

Does anyone know what the problem is, and how to resolve it?

It depends where you got the patch from because you actually might have downloaded a virus.

Make sure the download is from a safe source.
If it is, then deactivate your anti-virus and re-download it.

I got it from Lucasarts website, it isn't a source problem.

I've had a similar issue with various downloads, as long as you trust the source it's probably just a mistake. It can happen.

Just disable your antivirus and try again. And don't forget to turn it back on after you're done installing.
