I just got myself a new phone but I'm not really feeling the default tones (obviously) and I need some sort of software that edits the length of a track so I can just take like 10 seconds or so and use it as a ringtone. I've had a go with Windows Movie Maker but it doesn't seem to like it when it's not attached to video (there might be some way to do it but I'm used to stuff like Adobe and even that I haven't used in 2 years. And don't have).
I've heard there's this thing called Odacity but I don't really know what it is, so I don't really want to get it until I do incase it eats my hard drive or something.
What do you peeps use/where do I get it? (preferably free, I'm not buying some fancy editing program that I don't really need until I hit the jackpot and make a Surfin' Bird remix).
