Need Some Tech Help

[Lvl 64 Klutz]

So I picked up the Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy XIV last Wednesday, and I've been loving the game but I have an issue running it. The game looks beautiful at highest settings, and runs like a charm. However, with varying frequency (sometimes every 2 hours, sometimes every 5 minutes) the game crashes with an error reading "The DirectX Device was not detected." Updating my video drivers hasn't helped, and all SE did was send me a generic troubleshoot list. If anyone might have some ideas on what the exact problem is, that would be really helpful.
