Need Steam Help?

So I bought Trine, downloaded it since people are like "YOU GOTS TO PLAY THIS". and it looked interesting.

There was no error message during download. When I try to Launch it, the Launcher starts and then regardless of settings when I hit Launch just closes out.

I looked around and the only similar error I saw was "PhysX" error during installation which I didn't have.

Maybe someone could help my being dumb at this?

It just closes you say?

Try restarting steam yadda yadda, make sure Trine isn't running in the processes (it shouldn't be or Steam would say "can only run one at a time").

Then usual Steam stuff like right click Trine, go to properties then verify the files.

If that doesn't make it fix itself I'm sure someone will have something specific.

clientregistry.blob is all I can think of but it sounds more like a PhysX error than a steam error.

Do you have PhysX installed? Moreover, what kind of graphics card do you have?

Delete and then reinstall it. Or get a new PC.

Nvidia PhysX v2.8.1

I think it's Nvidia I guess.

Windows XP so the Mac update wouldn't of effected me.

Delete and then reinstall it. Or get a new PC.

Will I have to repay?

Do this. Well the delete and re-install part. I had a problem like that and this fixed it.

Yeah no go, and I can't exactly >afford< a new PC considering I keep upgrading this one.

Yeah it's a bit of a drastic fix lol Well if it's any consolation, I've played Trine and it was pretty boring... oh who am I kidding, it's awesome! Hopefully you'll get it going soon!

Eh I've had no luck with trying to get it work in anyway.

Can't see any reason why, the PhysX is there.
