Right before anyone yells at me this forum doesnt have a tech section and I have looked on google for the answers but this seems to be a unique problem... or at least too new to have its own database on google. I chose the gaming section as it seemed most relevant.

Ok so I recently saw Warhammer online went free to play or at least it said something about an Endless Trial. I played it back when it was still new and shiney but my PC struggled with it, they claim they have made it more "Ghetto PC Friendly," so I wanna try it again.

Spent some time downloading it via the patcher (Install a 10mb file then patch the 9GB game) and that was fine. I logged in earlier today and it loaded in with no problems (so the Ghetto part is true) but heres the issue.

I loaded into the game, accepted the EULA etc and then sat and stared at a background scene of the game world waiting for the servers with no luck. I restarted it and had a micro patch download and now whenever I try to login it just sits on the patcher saying "Initilizing," and does nothing for like 5 minutes.

I really wanna try this thing out again as I am nerd for this stuff.
Any help will be appreciated.

Might be that you need to open some ports or something like that.

This might help: http://findports.com/document.php?tag=warhammer-online-age-of-reckoning

Without wanting to be too harsh, I'd suggest asking the Warhammer Online support guys about this instead? Maybe they're having some (ahem) back-end trouble that's held up your connection?

edit: though what Wolfram said has value. Make sure your router (if you have one) or firewall (ditto) isn't blocking the ports it needs to work. We had a similar issue at work with second life - yes, apparently there was a good reason someone wanted to demo it to a room full of people - and we just couldn't get much further than what you have here. Course, it's not using the normal HTTP ports, is it, oh no that would be too easy...
